Dear Prospective Participant,
Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, in conjunction with the National Science Foundation, is pleased to announce that AAMU HBCU-UP Summer Bridge Program (SBP) is accepting applications.
The SBP program focuses on strengthening participants' STEM related academic skills. As a participant, you will attend four-1 hour courses during the six week program. Classes will include: "Critical Writing and Reading," "Mathematics," "Science & Engineering Fundamentals,” and “Introduction to Computer Programming and Visualization,” and along with some exposure to Physics and Biotechnology.

If you are one of the 30 students selected to participate, you are expected to attend every class during the six-week program. The program will begin on June 4, 2012, and end on July 13, 2012. Classes will meet Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Each participant will be paid $200 per week, for a total of $1200 upon completion of the six week program.
